Heritage

I earned my PhD in Computer Science from Virginia Tech in 2020, advised by Dongyoon Lee. During my PhD, I interned at Microsoft Research with Patrice Godefroid and at IBM Research Almaden with Deepavali Bhagwat. Before graduate school, I was a software engineer at IBM from 2012 to 2015, working on the GPFS file system.

Since then

My wife, Kirsten Davis, is a faculty member in Purdue’s School of Engineering Education.

In 2019, I was Virginia Tech’s intramural racquetball champion in both singles and doubles.

I do much of the cooking for my household. I make a mean chili and cornbread.

I bike to work whenever possible—nor rain nor snow nor sleet nor hail.

I sing tenor in my church choir, and occasionally cant.

My pet is fermented.
