Part VI treated MAGE as a theory: an explanation of how agentic capacity, representation, enforcement, engineering capital, and the surrounding environment interact; what that account predicts; where it should apply; and how it might be tested.
This final Part asks what follows if that account is substantially right. It moves outward from the theory to the profession: first to how abundant implementation reorganizes software work, then to MAGE's relationship with older engineering and computing traditions, and finally to the engineer's expertise, authority, education, and responsibility.
Delegation changes what engineers do and how they exercise control. It does not remove their responsibility for what they build.
The synthesis
When implementation becomes abundant, software engineering does not disappear. Its scarce work moves. Engineers can delegate more realization while remaining responsible for the resulting system. Their work increasingly centers on retaining informed control: deciding what must be true, choosing representations that make consequential properties understandable, establishing evidence, allocating authority, coordinating autonomous work, and accepting consequential tradeoffs.
