Part V supplied two views of the evidence. The originating case showed how MAGE's structures emerged under sustained engineering pressure; the industrial reconstructions showed related structures appearing independently, under different constraints. Neither establishes a universal law. Together they give us something worth explaining.

Part VI attempts that explanation. It begins with a theory of how agentic capacity interacts with the engineered environment, states its scope conditions, and derives testable predictions. The argument then widens to ask what changes in software engineering, how those changes relate to older engineering practice, and what remains the engineer's responsibility.

As implementation becomes cheaper, engineering effort moves toward representation, evidence, authority, and judgment. Engineers increasingly reason through models and analyses, delegate realization, and remain answerable for the result.

The professional consequence

As implementation capacity becomes abundant, the engineered environment becomes a first-class object of software engineering.
